In the absence of actually being able to buy a physical copy of the new Radiohead album then I think you should check out the Canon Blue CD 'Colonies' on Efterklang's Rumraket label. The similarities on some of the tracks are striking. Actually to be fair to 'em there's only a few tracks with rip Radiohead off and these days anyone who does any inventive alternative music with some sort of feeling/ soul is tarred with that miserybrush. This is largely uplifting though and there are enough tangents to occupy your mind as it leaps from genre to genre and ends up being somewhere squarely in what they call 'art pop'. It certainly has it's moments.

*Mixed by Chris Taylor (of Grizzly Bear) and mastered by Cristian Vogel
(acclaimed solo artist, producer remixer etc), "Colonies" is undoubtedly
Rumraket's most fierce and extrovert release to date.
*Canon Blue aka Daniel James has written, recorded and played almost every
instrument on his debut album himself. All done with a sharp understanding for
the unified whole that is bound to thrill followers of Thom Yorke, Four Tet,
Mugison and Spirtualized.
*Canon Blue "Colonies" is a compound beast of eccentric electronic pop
and art rock with keen references to the new folk scene.
*"Colonies" is a record that defies its 'bedroom artist' origins. Covering
a range of emotions with its wonderfully textured, sizzling and gritty
electro art-rock, Daniel has created a colossus.
