“Why is this brilliant young New Jersey singer-songwriter languishing in obscurity? Kindly move over, KT Tunstall”
THE GUARDIAN
JENNY OWEN YOUNGS bills herself as a “feisty, hyper-sensitive, disease-free singer/songwriter who wants to be your friend.” Claiming influences from Jesus Christ Superstar to Britney Spears, her music in actuality echoes the likes of Beth
Orton, Jeff Buckley and her recent touring partner Regina Spektor, while remaining uniquely her own. J.O.Y. played her first ever UK show at the O2 Indigo venue on 27th July in support of Aimee Mann (another influence), and will return to
the UK in October for 8 dates in support of Jim White (details below) as well as TBC shows in her own right.
