OVERVIEW: Joy Division's hugely influential, back catalogue will be re-issued with extra live tracks on September 24th 2007 through Warner Music. Available as double re-mastered CDs, which are housed in plastic O-cards, they will also be released on 180gm vinyl and in a special Peter Saville designed Limited Edition three x album vinyl box set. The band's classic single, Love Will Tear Us Apart, will also be re-released, both on 7-inch vinyl and as a CD single on 24th September. The re-issues coincide with the release of 'Control', Anton Corbijn's movie biopic of tragic Joy Division singer Ian Curtis, who killed himself on 18 May 1980; two days before the band were to embark on their first tour of America. 'CONTROL' won the Best European Film award at Cannes 2007 and will be released across UK cinemas on 5th October.
