37500 Yens - Astero

Astero by 37500 Yens

Must stop eating sweets.... 37500 Yens continue the sound / vision of the label with some 90's chicago inspired metallic thrashings intense volume changes and plenty of drama and suspense with heavy use of repetition. Good stuff and I bet they'd rock live. Oh it's called 'Astero' by the way.

37500 Yens is a guitar-drums duet, based in Reims (France). They may look like a math-rock band, but these 2 musicians blow up the boundaries of this genre, and mix melodies, repetitiveness, drone parts and intricacy to create a blasting maelstrom.
A staggering first album !
