Sincabeza's album 'Edit sur passage avant fin ou montée d'instrument' sounds like it's created by a bunch of technically gifted musicians. It's the kind of thing you could imagine being produced by Steve Albini in the 90's. Lots of dynamics and done rather well. I always use the word rather when I'm typing although never in real life. I don't know why I do it. It's not like I'm trying top be clever. For fans of Billy Mahoney maybe?

“Edit sur passage avant fin ou montée d'instrument” is an exquisite trip in music by a band more inspired and focused than ever. 8 tracks recorded by Miguel Constantino (Passe-Montagne) which confirmed their musicianship and originality in the indie rock scene. A demonstration of energy, balancing groove and melodiousness!

With the inventiveness that surrounded early Don Caballero albums but with a Storm And Stress-styled looseness to the arrangements [...],Sincabeza have reinjected real heart into their unspoken art. (in Timeoff)
