HTRK / Duke Garwood: Split 10" (Keep Mother) series on Fire , First side is a three track oddity that come across like a slowed down sludgy version of 'The Eye Of The Tiger' moving through screeching, doomladen, gothic Rockabilly twang and with a closer that has an Industrial Edge somewhat like Throbbing Gristle. In fact the HTRK album has just had a vinyl release (and is well worth checking - Ant) and is on the same tip as the closing track on this 10". On the flip the ten minute offering is a blusesy strum and coo strung out affair that creeps under your skin. Angst and drunken self indulgence springs to mind in a artsy abstracted kinda way. The 6th installement of the Keep Mother series features the howling blues of Duke Garwood and the slow pulsating neu-disco of Melbournes HTRK. Limited to 500 copies packed inside recycled board sleeves, hand stamped and hand-numbered. A work of art!
