Grace have announced the release of their new single ‘Sink Like A Stone’ through the legendary, recently re-launched ‘Charisma’ label on September 3rd 2007.
Available on CD, 7” picture disc and digital download ‘Sink Like a Stone’ is the fourth single to be taken from the band’s acclaimed debut album ‘Detours’.
Both ‘Sink Like a Stone’ and ‘Detours’ were produced by Steve Osborne (Doves, Elbow) and mixed by Michael Brauer (Coldplay, Kooks) and the various single formats also include new songs ‘Pay To See Me’ and ‘Million Faces’ alongside the ‘Sink Like a Stone’ promo video and exclusive versions and mixes of the single.
‘Sink Like A Stone’ is a melodic yet melancholic tale of depression and loss that packs a real emotional punch. A live anthem, the song is a particular favourite of the band. The single was recorded on the same piano as Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ at Real World studios and the impressive trivia does not end there – The video shoot for the track took place at Pinewood Studios, filmed in the same tank that was used in the film ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’.
Previous limited edition singles ‘Stand Still’ and ‘Wonderful’ received widespread praise, the former even meriting inclusion in ‘The Sunday Times Top 40 Pop Singles of 2006’.
