Call me ignorant like but I've never heard of The Famous Poet Derek Miens. That's also the name of a band and I've never heard of them either. That makes me double ignorant... Oh well tar and father me and lets move on to their 7" 'Flicker Of Light' on 1965. Apparently this guy is some kind of eccentric poet and this is his debut single. I struggle to find anything remotely positive to say about this other than I like the texture of the sleeve.The new poet laureate of indie, in the shape of Derek Meins (formally with Eastern Lane). Part musician, part performance poet, Derek possesses eccentricity that has been badly missing from the Uks tattered and torn musical map for years. Debut single on 1965 Records.
