This record left our Phil feeling happy.
PJ Harvey is back with a new single called 'While Under Ether' and she appears to have approached her new material with a more gentle tact. PJ and piano in fact... you won't recognize her voice. It's very gentle indeed.... a far cry from the filthy primal depths reached in Rid Of Me. She'll be on Jools Holland next week I suspect.....

The first single to be taken from PJ Harvey’s much anticipated eighth studio album, White Chalk, When Under Ether will be released on download and vinyl 7”. The b-side is previously unreleased and unavailable track Wait, one of the first songs ever recorded by Harvey in 1988.
