The Red Krayola - Sighs Trapped By Liars

SIGHS TRAPPED BY LIARS is the first collaboration between The Red Krayola and Art & Language in over twenty years as well as a continuance of the recent hot streak from The Red Krayola that includes the celebrated album, INTRODUCTION and the “Red Gold” EP. The lineup for Sighs Trapped by Liars is a roll-call of Red Krayola favorites: Tom Watson, Sandy Yang, Elisa Randazzo, John McEntire, Noel Kupersmith, Jim O’Rourke and Mayo Thompson. Art & Language’s lyrical contributions were put to music and played by Mayo Thompson, accompanied by Tom Watson, John McEntire, Noel Kupersmith and Jim O’Rourke. The music is an intimate and expansive setting, a pop framework for deliberate and meditative language. Red Krayola vocalists Elisa Randazzo and Sandy Yang stepped forth to the mic for a lead vocal performance that runs the register from ethereal-to-nursery-rhyme-to-adult-contemporary, with the odd obscenity smoothly integrated into its logic.
