Billy Mahonie are back with the 'Nightmare City' 7" on Euphrate. Slow very clean sounding instrumental post rock that reminds me of Slint and Shellac in places. Clear vinyl ltd to 500 copies. It chugs along nicely and builds in intensity towards the end with the drums getting a good old pounding. 'Scary Village' on the flip has lots of energy with a dirtier sound. The low slung bass hits the spot. Somewhere between math-rock and post-rock. You gotta love 'em for keeping at it...Be the first to review this record.
