...according to our Phil on Thu 06 Sep, 2007.
Midnight Mike is a new name to me. Apparently he's some dude who used to hang around with Trevor Jackson or other. I was told but then I forgot. More pressing things to think of...The A side of this quirky 7" is Be Bop A Lula and it's awful. The singer can't sing and it got a unanimous 'this is shit' in the office. If there's one thing that can bring us together it's not striving for world peace...it's shit records. The flipside is a more entertaining prospect though which is actually sung by Midnight Mike himself. It's kind of quirky oddness which appeals to me with a nice beat loaded with percussion and simplicity.... kind of sleazy too. Nice... the A side needs to die though. There are only 500 copies of this 7” available, making
it hugely collectible.
