Reverend And The Makers - He Said He Loved Me

He Said He Loved Me by Reverend And The Makers

3...according to our on Thu 30 Aug, 2007.

OK onto Reverend & The Makers who appear to the the latest pop sensation to come into my ears. 'He Said He Loves Me' is their moving 2nd single which is stirring rousing pop music. Lyrics by Vicky Pollard of Little Britain this is a right ole pile of radio friendly banal tosh ready to invade your sub consciousness. It's annoyingly catchy and like the last single it will penetrate your head when you're least suspecting it and irritate you senseless. The Reverend clearly is a talented chap as he can write the most annoyingly catchy songs. I Am irritated....

Since a relatively slow start to their recording career Reverend & The Makers have been on a rocketing ascendant since May this year with their debut single HCOTW taking everyone by storm and dominating the playlists of Radio 1, Capital Radio, XFM (all regions), Kerrang, GCAP and many others while the band smashed it live on the likes of Transmission, T4 &  T4 On The Beach on the TV. ·‘He Said He Loved Me’ like ‘Heavyweight’ has started off very quickly at radio and even quicker at TV and press who were slow to catch up with the lightning pace the previous single set are now all writing about Reverend & The Makers – no surprise when you consider the impact Heavyweight has made on a number of levels. ·The single features exclusive songs and a poem across it’s formats including two cracking B-sides – ‘You Get So Alone Sometimes It Just Makes Sense’ (aka ‘Abandoned’ previously) and ‘God Is In The TV’ which is a new recording of a song from Jon and Alex ‘Arctic Monkeys’ Turner’s previous band 1984
