Jose Gonzalez - Down The Line

Down The Line by Jose Gonzalez

Jose 'Sony' Gonzales is back from a respite to punt his special brand of Swedish singer songwriter gear. He has a single out called 'Down The Line 'We all loved his gear at the towers when those balls were bouncing around the telly screen. I was wondering how I'd fair with his new stuff. Part of me wanted to move on and think that I'd had enough of him and his slightly nasally sound. BUT after a quick spin I still like him, his sound and his songs. To quote my dealer 'It's good shit mama'. Quality singer songwriter gear...

José González became a household name across the world with the help of 250,000 coloured bouncing balls and a Sony Bravia television commercial featuring his spare and moving version of The Knife’s song, ‘Heartbeats’, taken from his debut album ‘Veneer’.The forthcoming album ‘In Our Nature’ is the long awaited follow up to the Platinum selling ‘Veneer’ which sold over 400,000 units in the UK alone and was one of only two independent albums certified platinum in the UK in 2006 (the other was Arctic Monkeys’ debut).Following the release of his album in September, José Gonzalez will perform a string of UK dates in October. These will be the first shows since his UK festival appearances last summer and promise to be exceptional due to the relatively intimate venues chosen for the tour. Unmissable.
