THIS CITY formed in 2006 and 'Romantic' / 'With Loaded Guns' is their debut single.
Theirs is a modern and freeflowing indierock racket sort-of-summed-up by the fact that out of their dumperload of previous drummers one is now backing sugarsweet indiepop darlings The Pipettes and another has moved on to fronting respected hardcore risers Architects. So This City are a band of two halves: one that is as comfortable with Bloc Party-esque blocks of jagged guitar as it is with At The Drive-In-style hectic lunges. A high class video made by hotshot company Nothing To See Here - purveyors of promotional visual material by personalities such as CSS, Blood Red Shoes and Juliette & The Licks - will see them jerking their way into the televisual realm any day now. And 'Romantic' is just the start.
