Marc Bolan/ T Rex - Hot Love

Marc Bolan was an English singer, songwriter and guitarist whose hit singles, fashion sensibilities and stage presence with T. Rex in the early 1970s helped cultivate the glam rock era and made him one of the most recognisable stars in British music of the time. His death, two weeks before his 30th birthday, contributed to giving him a cult status which remains to this day.
His career with T-Rex began with the #2 single Ride A White Swan in 1971 and included hit singles such as Hot Love, Get It On, Metal Guru and 20th Century Boy.

This 30th anniversary edition Greatest Hits album is released to coincide with a concert at Shepherd’s Bush Empire on September 15th to celebrate his life. It is 30 years since his death on 16th September and he would have been 60 on 30th September.

As part of this celebration we are re-releasing the first 3 singles in their original form (7” with original artwork) in the 3 weeks leading up to album release. Hot Love is the second of these releases.
