What we say

Rating: happy This record left our Ant feeling happy.

In the city of Bradford to 'Keff' is to pass wind / blow off/ let off/ fart/ boff/ do a whoopsie/ gas / drop a death egg / float an air biscuit etc. Knowing this you'll surely be able to understand that my sub- juvenille sense of humour was aroused by the name Leslie Keffer. Parp!!! She has something coming out on Thurston Moore's ecstatic Peace Label. Already I'm excited about this hand packaged ltd CDr. She creates the most glorious otherworldly soundscapes. Dense drones, feedback and rich layers of effects. Great stuff. This Untitled hand numbered CD is of just one of 80 copies. Fart and you'll miss it.

What the label says:

Latest installment in the this months releases comes from the mighty Leslie who's LP just became available on Ecstatic Peace...  This is a live recording which basically starts with Leslie shouting 'louder' a couple of times and building into some kinda of drone intesive nightmare from a 70s zombie flick... Edition of only 80 copies

About the humble CD:

The CD is essentially a small portable face mirror which has an extra feature of being able to play music (through a thing known as a CD player). These CD's are a modern invention hence them being all shiny and digital. They can hold about 80 minutes of music and apparently are indestructible as you can smear jam on them and they still play (not as nourishing as toast mind you but when you're hungry.....). They sound crystal clear and are tiny convenient things. They lack the charm and warmth of their old analogue counterparts but their portability, convenience and ease of being duplicated make them a perfect thing of a thing for most folks. Jewel cases are the worst thing ever though and they really need to stop.
