Here's a review for the original CD! Gareth Hardwick makes some beautiful Guitar drone. It's as simple as that. I find it difficult to describe this music. It has so much feeling if you tune into it and just let yourself go. If you enjoyed Growing's 'Color Wheel' as much as me then give this a go. Fans of Monostation and Stars Of The lid should also take note. I'm going to dig out his CD on Unlabel and give it a spin as I'm ashamed to say it passed me by at the time of release. Again this is a hand numbered CDr on Blackest Rainbow Records. Blimey this label is good!!! Oh it's called Sunday Afternoon
Gareth is from Nottingham and this is a recording from last month, one long slow burning lush lapsteel drone piece. Gareth also runs Low Point. A definite for fans of Growing, Stars of the Lid and other Kranky stuff. Housed in a usual Blackest Rainbow style package with artwork by Nikki Grout. Limited to 75 hand numbered copies!
