What we say

Rating: happy This record left our Ant feeling happy.

The first collaberation between Robedoor + Pocahaunted CDr on Blackest Rainbow Records. 'Mouth Of Prayer' has been out before but this comes with a bonus track. It sounds very good indeed. 'Mouth Of Prayer' is a mystical journey through ritualistic bells, drones, ultra spooked vocals and sparse drum rhythms. Psyched to the maximum. These guys have previously recorded for labels such as Not Not Fun, Mad Monk, Foxglove, Arbor and tons more. Check this: I've just peeped some info online and Robedoor credit themselves as playing slime, knives, distortion, fire, howls, cloaks. Magical stuff... Ltd Hand sprayed CDr.

What the label says:

Reissue of collaboration disc that I released back in Feburary. Accompanying the original seance psyche folk drone piece is a brand new track.  These dudes are getting mad press right now having just supported Sonic Youth and a full lengther on Digitalis soon and something on Ecstatic Peace. This comes in a new full colour sleeve designed by Bethany of Pocahaunted and is limited to only 150 copies.

About the humble CD:

The CD is essentially a small portable face mirror which has an extra feature of being able to play music (through a thing known as a CD player). These CD's are a modern invention hence them being all shiny and digital. They can hold about 80 minutes of music and apparently are indestructible as you can smear jam on them and they still play (not as nourishing as toast mind you but when you're hungry.....). They sound crystal clear and are tiny convenient things. They lack the charm and warmth of their old analogue counterparts but their portability, convenience and ease of being duplicated make them a perfect thing of a thing for most folks. Jewel cases are the worst thing ever though and they really need to stop.
