Songs of Green Pheasant - Gyllyng Street

Gyllyng Street by Songs of Green Pheasant

Fat Cat are back on the case with Songs Of Green Pheasant's third (I think) release for the label: "Gyllyng Street". It's a strong album of cinematic, epic, songs from the heart. Fans of Talk Talk and Hood should take note. Highly personal music with super sparkling, polished production. A mans soul laid bare on compact disc. Beautiful, soulful honest music. You'll be blubbering like a little baby and reaching for the kleenex.

‘Gyllyng Street’ is Songs Of Green Pheasant’s most collaborative effort yet, relying on band members as opposed to overdubs to further expand his rich sonic palette.  The album will appeal to fans of artists like Adem, Joanna Newsom, AR Kane, Talk Talk, Hood, Vashti Bunyan and Cocteau Twins.   Previous records have been acclaimed by contemporaries such as Devendra Banhart, Vetiver, Múm, and Vashti Bunyan.Where previous release ‘Aerial Days’ was a collection of diverse tracks, each redolent of a particular time or memory, the new album is firmly rooted in a single period of its creator’s life.·‘Gyllyng Street’ is a beautiful and complete album. Confident and carefully realised, each song moves fluidly into the next.  This is a varied album based around sweet melodies and gorgeous vocal harmonising. These are beautifully sung and played songs with a timeless, rustic feel.·Now more equipped for the stage with a regular host of collaborators
