Skream: 'Sub Island' (Soul Jazz) A rootsier if hyper slice of engineering than his sometimes techy efforts elsewhere, i.e. more percussive and heavier on the claps. More Jamaica than Detroit. The flip is more up-tempo steppas style. Both sides are crisp especially if heard over the right sort of system for the subs of course. Limited edition taken from the "Box Of Dub" series.

Fresh from playing to 10,000 people at the latest Sonar festival in Barcelona, 21-yr old Skream (aka Ollie Jones) has come a long way from his Croydon roots, developing the Dubstep scene with friends Benga and Hatcha and of course the mighty Digital Mystikz alongside Burial, Kode 9 and others. Now with one album and numerous singles and remixes to his own name (on labels such as Tempa and Big Apple), Skream is one of the major players in the Dubstep scene. Pressed on super loud, super heavy vinyl.
