New 7" from Zan Pan with 'Sirens Of Titan'. Its a 70's style Bowie tinged space pop song. So prog its making my legs itch at the thought of all that cheap itchy material from back then. The b side's another 70's song with a guitar solo so grand it would make Brian May of Queen blush. Pretty cool though if ya like this sort of thing.A supergroup of sorts, Zan Pan includes within its ranks The Squire Of Somerton and Andy Dragazis (Blue States).Magazine Stool Pigeon has set up Pigeon Coup Records in order to release this Glam / Pop / Prog masterpiece. There is a two page feature on the release in the current issue. Radio’s Mark Radcliffe, Marc Riley and John Kennedy are all fans, with plays and sessions expected from all.Pitchforkmedia.com are already praising the single, placing it ‘On Repeat’ and proclaiming “Zan Pan spacecraft into a dimension rarely explored”. A superb live band and the resident Stool Pigeon band at all parties.
