Heroes Of Switzerland: 'Wish It Away' (Club AC30), Phil reckons this sounds like early Nine Black Alps, maybe a little on the slighty pompous stadium rock craving side to be compared with the shoegazers of yore. Apparently a good live prospect according to our democratic review page.
The fourth in a series of singles released by London live night/record label Club AC30 in their As & When series - all limited edition numbered 7".
From Nottingham, Heroes of Switzerland are what happens when a drumming powerhouse meets melodic basslines, overblown guitar effects
obsessives and an anthemic sensibility. Veering between the layered sounds of prime-era shoegazing with a harder, more muscular dynamic, Heroes of
Switzerland mix genres to create their own sound with soul, sensitivity and sheer intensity.

I saw these guys a while back....this is a really nice track, really uplifting but with a punchy chorus that really hits the spot. I'm surprised they get lumped in with the shoegazing thing as live there a Rock band through and through.
I got their disposable fiction EP a couple of years ago and that blew me away. This is a bit more conservative in that it could be Bloc Party or someone but I suppose if its a single its got to be mainstream. Recommended.Rating: 4 out of 5So, what do you think?
