First sortie on what looks like Type's new offshoot features Xela with Greg Haines & Danny Saul: "The 12th Chapel". This is a one sided limited edition press (300) recorded live in actual chapel in Manchester, UK. With a varied line up of instrumentation that includes prepared guitar, vocals, percussion, cello, piano and acoustic guitar, what you get is a very ethereal otherworldy drift without any direction other than towards the end of the track. Fans of Greg Haines' lp on Miasmah will appreciate the atmospherics, which get quite cavernous towards the end of side one.Limited to only 300 hand-numbered copies this epic 22 minute piece sees the beginning of the Rite label, and the evolution of Xela after the horror-influenced 'The Dead Sea'.
