Architecture In Helsinki with their new album on V2 called "Places Like This". Strange playground music with happy vocals in a Go Team style. Also sounds like they've been influenced by Animal Collective and all that ramshackle craziness. Phil's thinking Talking Heads and this bit sounds like the B52's. Childlike keyboard stabs interweave with chatty vocals, grand orchestration and big crescendos. Some of the keyboard sounds are so retro and the atmosphere so swingy it sounds like Kitsch gay party. Mr Productino raises his eyebrow...

Melbourne’s Architecture in Helsinki release their new album, Places Like This.  It could not be more removed from their previous, In Case We Die (2005). Fizzing with electrical currents, channeling calypso rhythms and tropicalia flavours with lashings of percussion a-go-go, Pop effervescence hasn’t sounded this fresh in ages.
