Ramadanman - Good Feelin/ The Woon

Ever since Ramadanman’s mix of Nina Simone’s ‘Feeling Good’ was first played out on Skream’s Rinse FM show, it had to make it to wax. Ramadanman - who’s ‘Response’ was the debut release on Bare Dubs and who runs cult label Hessle Audio – has built up layers of militant drums to underpin and drive the evocative lyrics, while the soft pulsing sub bass adds the extra depth that make this an extra special re-version. In the hunt for a flip, Ramadanman hooked up with Jamie Woon for a re-rub of his underground hit ‘Wayfaring Stranger’. He works a snippet from the original vocal into the minimal fabric of a truly original tune, delivering a haunting rendition that takes sub bass to new levels of deepness.
