Andy Lewis & Paul Weller - Are You Trying To Be Lonely?

Are You Trying To Be Lonely? by Andy Lewis & Paul Weller

The Modfather Paul Weller has gone back to his Northern Soul roots in some style on the forthcoming single, 'Are You Trying To Be Lonely?',
recorded with artist Andy Lewis and released on the Acid Jazz label. Lewis, considered an arbiter of the nu-soul sound popularised by contemporaries
such as Amy Winehouse and Candie Payne, made his name in the 90's as the original DJ at the legendary Blow Up club in Wardour Street. The
collaboration for the single came together after Weller, an admirer of Andy Lewis' work, was handed some demos by Lewis at a gig. Weller was so
impressed by the material that just two weeks later they were in the studio recording together.
'Are You Trying To Be Lonely?' is taken from Andy Lewis' new album, 'You Should Be Hearing Something Now', due for release in Autumn 2007 on
Acid Jazz.

a change of style from weller with a stomping northern tune that would not be out of place at an allnighter.
