another Ahhhhh .. think I'm a bit loved up this morning cos here we have hand certified 3 inch pop Cd's from honorable scottish label Weepop. Jingle jangle summer pop riding through corn fields on bikes in a new relationship without the crushing disappointment yet to take hold. They're called Roadside Poppies and its called Cycling and Crying. Hailing from Cambridge they've got that male/female honest duet thing going on with everyday observations brought into the lyrics. Belle and Sebastian is an obvious comparison. Simple, pretty. limited to 120

This is the second time I've come across The Roadside Poppies. The first time we were filming in Cambridge near one of the universitys and saw a poster for a gig. They are a very talented band of musicians, one of the members used to play with a Band called Colonel Bastard who were another excellent act.
They will become one of the sought after Acts in the near future.....you saw it on here first

Limited to 120 copies of each, coming with a little handwritten and drawn certificate of authenticity stating your record's number, the releases are 3" CDRs packaged in mini pop-coloured jewel-cases enclosed in a brown envelope, which has a sticker of the artwork on it to identify the release.
