Rating: ecstatic This record left our Ant feeling ecstatic.

In terms of consistent high quality output, the Hyperdub label and Kevin Martin's The Bug project, rank as some of the finest experiments in Jamaican influenced electronic music in recent years. So it seems a natural progression for the two to be working together. There was of course the EP by Pressure on the label which is an alias of the man himself.... This outing though, under his Bug guise encompasses all that is exciting about his productions. The crushing heaviness and infectious dancehall rhythms you want and need are all present. Ultra heavy too. With Roll Deep MC's Killa P and Flow Dan droppin' some grime / ragga rhymes about weed, guns and shit you know it's a winner. Not that I think I'm hard like, listening to gangsta' shit but c'mon it's dancehall, grime styles. It would sound a wee bit stupid if they were chattin' about going to the library, playing with their train sets and doing jigsaws and that. (We should have reviewed this last week but we never got sent a promo and the courier couldn't do his job properly.) 'Skeng' is the name of the record and it has a wicked Kode 9 mix. I'm getting all muddled up now because a hedgehog has appeared in our garden... hedgehogs rule...
