Object - Asobi

Asobi by Object

4...according to our on Thu 12 Jul, 2007.

Object is the alias of Lawrence English (Room 40). 'Asobi' is more of his quality electronics, bubbling and glitching somewhere between Fennesz and Oval if you remember them . Fine experimental pulses and textures. On Sensory Projects.

Sensory Projects is really pleased to announce the release of Object AKA Lawrence English’s brand new album, Asobi. Asobi (is Japanese, translating to ‘play’ in English) is a beautiful eight track album which broods with subtle rhythms and flashes of sonic temperance. Lawrence English’s intrigue with the computer and its capacity to create sounds which ooze warmth and glow like lamps in the fog should be a revelation for fans of Fennesz, Jan Jelinek, and Marcus Popp’s early Oval releases.
Glistening, sizzling, and pulsing, Asobi is an album to relax into and one that will envelope you.
