Autokat - Innocence

Innocence by Autokat

Also on the indie tip is Autokat with Innocence with a slab of raincoat early 90's sounding indie rock. Very repetitive sounding which immediately makes it stick in your brain.... quite frenetic sounding...pacey with oodles of energy. It's very Manchester sounding indeed..... it's got an air of grim ness which appeals to me. The best thing I've heard by 'em so far if I'm to be honest.

The standout track from the debut album ’Late Night Shopping’ Autokat deliver another punchy, guitar driven-mantra ’Innocence’.
A popular live tune, the song pulsates with a ferocity borrowed from fellow Manchester-based friends The Longcut, with a punk-dancefloor beat more akin to Sheffield’s Harrisons. The repeated refrain is all Autokat and typifies the feel on the album of urgent yet sinister callings from the shadows of the underground party scene in Manchester.
B-Side ’Short Circuit’ is a brooding, building song written about an air rage moment witnessed by vocalist John Allen.

Tracklist: 1) Innocence 2) Short Circuit
