Again on top label Sheffield Phonographic Corporation we have Heartyeah with their album Traps. An angry and jolted mixture of contemporary electronic bass and beats with "classic" rock electric guitar action. The chanting and shouting vocals are driven to distortion creating a chaotic and juvenile sound that is energetic and innovative. Lots of ideas.. lots of mess.Heartyeah formed through a love of late 80s shoegazing, chart topping pop and fucking loud house. With their very own manic inventiveness, the aggression of Big Black, the sonic vision of My Bloody Valentine, and a nod towards the hypnotic repetition of Loop, their music genuinely divides opinion. Just the type of band we need in these days of identikit indie. “We are the sound of massive friendship and tiny amps.” say duo Warren Myles and Jack Fabian.
