To celebrate 10 years of releasing and un-earthing oddities, soundtracks, jazz, nostalgia and kitsch: Trunk records have a budget price sampler 'Now We Are Ten'serves as a handy little snap shot of what the label has been up to. It includes 7 exclusive tracks as well as favourites by Basil Kirchin, Vernon Elliot, Mike Sammes, Michael Garrick, John Cameron Delia Derbyshire, Herbie Hancock etc.

*This superlative budget-priced sampler is the result of ten years hard
work. Jonny Trunk and his label, Trunk Records, have discovered some of the
most beautiful music never heard. And just some of those musical highlights
are pulled together for the very first time here.
*Now We Are Ten represents a great opportunity for CD buyers to discover
the wonderful world of Trunk records for a fiver. For this they get the full
22 tracks (including the 7 exclusives never released before), an eight page
booklet which features a four thousand word history of the label and its
maverick activities. And the front cover features a photo of Jonny Trunk, aged
10, with a tragically bad haircut and terrifying shirt. It doesn't get much
better than that.
*This is the pastoral sound of film music, of great white sharks, maypoles,
horror, space and even sex. No other label anywhere can find such timeless
beautiful music in such extraordinary places, in skips, sheds, even under
musicians beds. And no other label offers you such extraordinary sounds -
serial killer folk, surf jazz, zombie moog, even lunar piano.
*In 1997 Trunk Records issued the first ever recording of the lost Wicker
Man soundtrack, the LP that kickstarted the whole modern British folk
movement. Trunk Records discovered and released the missing Delia Derbyshire
electronic music from classic 70s TV series The Tomorrow People and has been
responsible for finding some of the great forgotten library music of all time
 - releasing the superb, spooky soundtrack to George A Romero's "Dawn Of The
 Dead" Zombie classic.
*Trunk Records have released several other amazing soundtracks that were
previously thought lost - Kes, Psychomania and the beautiful pastoral
space music from The Clangers TV series. All albums have been critically
acclaimed, The Clangers even getting a cool 10 out of 10 in the NME.
*Trunk Records released the cult classic known as Dirty Fan Male. This
unique recording of letters to Page 3 girls went on to become an award
winning show at the Edinburgh Festival. The CD was voted one of the top
ten funniest albums of all time by Time Out.
* Trunk Records have just released the UKs most valuable jazz LP. This
hyper rare Michael Garrick recording sold out a week before issue. One of
the cues is on this CD.
* Over the last few years Jonny Trunk has brought maverick composer Basil
Kirchin to a new audience worldwide. This man is the grandfather of
ambient music, and a major influence on Brian Eno. An unreleased period
Kirchin gem is on this sampler.
* Two tracks from the critically acclaimed Fuzzy Felt Folk album have
already found their way onto TV commercials both here and in the USA.
* Underground composer Sven Libaek has also had his incredible film music
released on the label. Out of print for over forty years this timeless
spooky surf-jazz has rapidly found itself a new audience. Two Libaek
originals are on the CD.
* The label has also pioneered the re-release of period British
advertising sounds and jingles. The album Music For Biscuits has quickly
become a kitsch classic.
* Jonny Trunk continues to find new and beautiful lost music, forthcoming
albums include the awesome sound of British horror movie Blood On Satan's
Claw. A taster is on this CD.
* Also forthcoming is a privately pressed Herbie Hancock jazz album from
1968. Never commercially released this record, among other incredible
sounds is previewed on this awesome sampler.
