Unique 3 - Rocks The Bass

Rocks The Bass by Unique 3

4...according to our on Thu 19 Jul, 2007.

Following on from the remixes of Unique 3's 'The Theme' Fat Records drop a 12" of what sounds like new material. It's more uptempo breakbeat techno than the old stuff but the bleep and old skool bass drops are intact. I quite like the energy and although it's nothing jaw dropping I bet it would sound wicked through a big soundsystem. The production is solid, nice crisp percussion and fat bottom end. Si Begg does the remix duty on the flip and does a quality reconstruction that doesn't sound a million miles off of something from Neil Landstrumm's last LP on Planet Mu.

Following Unique 3’s recent re-release of his classic ‘The
Theme’, Fat! Records presents the artist’s debut
production on the label, which preceeds his forthcoming
album – Invasive Signals.

Will appeal to Electro, Techno & Breakbeat fans. Will also
appeal to the established fan-base for the Chew The Fat!
events worldwide.

Unique 3 is the creator of ‘The Theme’ , a pioneering record
that can easily lay claim to influencing the likes of Warp
Records, The Chemical Brothers, LFO, most of the first
wave of Drum and Bass producers and many, many more,
put simply - it was a seminal moment in Dance music
history!
