Dntel - The Distance

The Distance by Dntel

4...according to our on Thu 19 Jul, 2007.

Dntel have a new limited 7" out on Moshi Moshi which includes a Metronomy mix to play down thar clubs. Weirdly enough this 7" (called The Distance) sounds like Paul Simon.... All the widdly noises and his gentle voice make him a ringer for Garfunkels small friend. I can hear a bit of a Christmas/ holy thing going on 'n all. Weird. I wasn't expecting this at all. It oddly kind of works though why I'm not entirely sure. It's all very nice anyway and makes me want to rush to church or something.

Jimmy Tamborello (aka Dntel, James Figurine, member of Figurine and Strictly Ballroom, and one half of The Postal Service) likes to take his time. Thirteen years after starting to work under the Dntel moniker and almost six years after releasing his last Dntel full-length ('Life Is Full of Possibilities'), he has painstakingly built and birthed 'Dumb Luck', an album five years in the making, Tihe track "The Distance"" is released also as a limited edition Moshi Moshi 7" featuring exclusive Metronomy Remix b-side
