Bohren Und Der Club of Gore. Bohren Und Der Club of Sloth more like, this fucking CD on Latitudes has taken about 5 years to arrive. And judging by the strung out lounge doom on offer, i'd say this is music that takes it's time. The phrase "Time Waits For No man" springs to mind yet i'd alter it to Time fucks off and finds itself another galaxy because it got bored of waiting for Bohren & Der Club of Gore. Imagine if Codeine went Jazz noir and you'll have an idea where these serious dudes are coming from. Notes are beautifully drawn out, almost suspended in the ether, an occasional sax languishes on the fringes of this particular brand of absorbing slo-core. I get a feeling of something special from 'Mitleid Lady', i'd love to see them play live. Why it's taken Latitudes so long to release 10 minutes of music I 'll never know but as per usual, it's a lovely package.........Latest in the fantastic, exceptionally limited Latitudes series.
