The Go Team
Grip Like A Vice/ Black Affair Remix
A Norman Records recommendation (28th June 2007)

This record left our Ant feeling ecstatic.
The Go Team Single 'Grip Like A Vice' is huge slab of fun. It's a female fronted hip-hop track with guitars and real drums with rapping that reminds me of Roxanne Shante, Neneh Cherry and The Rocksteady Crew. Its got that upbeat oldskool hip hop party vibe. It's massively accessible and infectious. A real ass shaker, especially when the hand claps drop. This is split over 2 x 7"s and a CD single. The flipside on one of the 7" is a more than commendable cover of Sonic Youth's 'Bull In The Heather' with some proper funky drums. Fun Fun Fun.
