Audela - 39 Mysterions

39 Mysterions by Audela

Tracklisting
1. 39 Mysterions (51:36)

2nd release by this mysterious ambient formation. 39 Mysterions was
sent to Plague Recordings as part of a massive demo set of which 5
compositions were used to put together the self-titled Audela CD
(Plague 002). Since 39 Mysterions lasts 52 minutes it didn't fit on
the debut CD so it was released as a full-fledged album short after.
The 5 tracks on "Audela" as well as "39 Mysterions" finish a first
cycle of music inspired by Jupiter's Great Red Spot. The first album
evokes turmoil, the second brings back equanimity... This ultra
ambient release - is housed in a graphite ejector case and includes a sticker.  A must for fans of
Michel Mantra's "Sonic Alter" and Biosphere's "Autour De La Lune".

Review:

"From without, Audela gives no indication these caverns of the 39
Mysterions are so deep. The tinkers who creep beneath are stoking the
flames of their forges, yet their fires burn cold and phosphorescent
green, a light which cannot be seen without entrance into the depths.
Every sound is amplified and stretched to the far edges of sight by
the vault looming from sight far overhead. Boomings of the planet's
rotation are muffled scuttling and subsonic rumbles reminding us that
the air is so thick it has nearly congealed. Below the cavern floor a
river is silent and still, save for the bubbling gill gurgles of
creatures whose eyes have long ago become hallucinatory longings in
their small and savage minds. The blood rushing within their skulls is
an audible pressure to those in the open air, stealing the silence
away" (Sid Redlin, USA).

5...according to .

fantastic deep-chill album, minimal, drones and icy scapes, very intense a track, womb-music. not too dark/spooky but surely not new-age neither goth-ish. great ambient to fall asleep with, in the tradition of trax by alio die or oophoi. anyway, imo the best plague title at present. great new label!
