BADLY DRAWN BOY's new release ‘Promises’ is the third single to be taken from last year’s album Born In The UK’ and will be released on July 2nd 2007.

The album ‘Born In The UK’, released to a rapturous response in October 06, saw BDB take on a highly publicised tour of the UK’s finest chip shops as well as sell out UK and US headline tours.  One of the highlights from his Stateside trip was sharing a stage with his hero Bruce Springsteen at Carnegie Hall in New York as part of a tribute concert to The Boss.

‘Promises’ is the natural follow up to ‘A Journey From A To B’.  A live favourite, it stands as a beautiful and intelligently simplistic testament of romanticized intentions and promised vows. It parallels between a story of hope and lost feeling that surges a crescendo of self-longing.
