Aube - Blau & Rot

Blau & Rot by Aube

Ant still in one piece after holding the fort for a couple of days. Having survived almost having a nervous breakdown I have decided to become an animal for each of my reviews. Ribbit I'm a little green frog listening to The new Aube 7" which sounds like my pond. This is Japanese artist Akifumi Nakajima (who's had something out on Blossoming Noise among loads of other labels) on an old Roland SH-12 synth. The micro emissions make me want to catch a big juicy fly. Croak!!! The B-side has wicked analogue synths that ounds like shards of glass. This will make all girl frogs want to come onto my lilly pad and frog hump me. This is on Aufabwegen. Clear wax and all. Ribbit.

on these two tracks, released for the first european tour by AUBE in eight
years, akifumi nakajima worked with an old roland sh-12 percussive synth.
the result are two long tracks (each over 6 minutes) with a nice floating
mood that sometimes changes into aggressiveness without losing its warmth.
a great little record by one of the most important experimental musicians
from japan.
