Ulrich Schnauss - Goodbye

Goodbye by Ulrich Schnauss

4...according to our on Thu 21 Jun, 2007.

Ulrich Schnauss: "Goodbye" (Independiente) n update of the 'shoegazing' ethos of the eighties. Think heavenly strings, chiming guitars, ethereal voices and padded string/synth washes. The mood, as ever, is melancholic in a way some gain upliftment from. If you like your Harold Budd's and Robin Guthries of this celestial world hahahaha then you'll love this fluffy lushness.

·‘Goodbye’ has taken three solid years slaving away in the studio to make. ·Each song is more memorable, the multi-layered, guitar-heavy tracks instantly more ragingly psychedelic, the ambient tracks are more spacious.  ·Two outstanding songs to check out are the obliterating rush of ‘Medusa’ or the cloud busting dream-pop of ‘Stars’ (performed by long-time collaborator Judith Beck).   ·At times, there are over 100 different audio tracks playing simultaneously: a tower of song. Forthcoming live shows coming later this year
