Cursor Miner kicks off Seed's limited 7" series with 'Suicide Bomber'. A politically charged up-tempo, hi octane electronic track with synths that sound like guitars. I'm not entirely sure what to make of this. It's pretty different for both the artist and the label. Perhaps it's the vocals that don't really work for me. Flipside 'Gonna Do It Tonight' is a warped hip hop track featuring MC Robby T. It's all reasonably deranged and wonky as you'd expect from Cursor Miner. Numbered of 300 with artwork that would be hugely controversial if the tabloids picked up on it.Cursor Miner is Robert Tubb, the prolific maniac producer of all things infectiously danceable, crunchy and witty. He has previously released singles on Si Begg’s Noodles imprint as well as Mute, gained critical acclaim from the likes of Dave Clarke, Felix Da Housecat and Laurent Garnier for his album outings, and been championed by everyone from Radio 1’s Mary Anne Hobbs and Zane Low to euro-trance pop tart Benny Benassi. This unorthodox live show electro / hip hop / crunk classic is going to be the next big bang! ‘Suicide Bomber’ is the unmistakably controversial and instantly shake your booty beautiful A-side of what is sure to become an underground collectors classic, pressed in a strictly limited edition of 300 in hand-numbered sleeves. On the b-side, ‘Gonna Do It Tonight’ ft MC Robby T is a futuristic hip-hop jazz fusion funk filthy assed piece of crunk-sweat.
