OK here's Das Wanderlust with their crazy new 7" single called Sunday School. It's completely insane quirky indie rock... I can hear bits of Cardiacs in there... that kind of lunacy. Nice!!· Das Wanderlust are a 2+ piece wrong-pop band who are based in Middlesbrough but originally from London. They formed around three years ago. Preferring the DIY approach, and disliking recording studios as much as they do, they record all their music sporadically around friends’ houses, over the period of a few months, and at a cost of roughly zero.
· Finding themselves reaching number 14 in the Festive Fifty, and with 6music’s Marc Riley naming their debut 7” single ‘The Orange Shop’ as his #1 single of 2006, they still can’t believe their luck that people are taking them so seriously, when all they’re doing is having fun with making pop music exactly how they want to (because that’s what always sounds best).
