The last CD from me comes from Taiga Remains. 'Obelia' contains two long tracks (and a wee one) of warm acoustic drifting bliss and drones. This somehow managed to evade the review box last week. (yes we are that organized that we have a special box and it has dividers in it with all our names on. It's the height of efficiency) This is the work of one Alex Cobb who does a grand job with the loops and delay. Like the sort of thing that could come out on Digitalis. Limited to 100 copies on Barl Fire.Tracklist: Absence-Frost, Shining Metal Spheres, Radiolaria
Running Time 33.50
Released: 17.5.07
Alex Cobb's Taiga Remains returns with "Obelia", two long pieces and one short that juxtapose the warm drift of a harmonic-laden minimal acoustic blues raga with dense droning machine noise. The album is housed in vinyl slip cases, limited to 100 copies and priced at £5 including shipping via Paypal to anywhere on the planet. Alternatively copies of the album will be available from the usual Barl Fire distributors.
