What the label says:

Sam Isaac and Luke Leighfield will release a split 10" single on Mannequin Republic
- the new label of Sam Duckworth of Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. To support this
release, Sam Isaac and Luke Leighfield are touring from April 23rd until May 6th,
taking in most major UK cities. The launch for the split 10" single will be held at The
Social, London, on the 23rd April.
Sam Isaac and Luke Leighfield are two of the UK's most refreshing artists, taking a
hard working, DIY approach to everything they do. They play shows in fans' living
rooms, release their own music, and work with friends to create their own recordings,
websites and artwork. Their extensive touring has taken them to venues and houses
across the country, including a performance in the living room of XFM DJ Marsha
Shandur.
Both artists self-funded their most recent releases. Sam's mini-album "Sticker, Star
and Tape" was released in January 2007, whilst Luke released his debut album "Garde
Ta Foy, Garde Ta Foy" in December 2006. Both releases have garnered significant
interest and glowing reviews in recent months.

About the humble 10":

The 10" sits somewhere in between the 7" and 10" (kind of like a wierd cousin). This awkward variant exists for no other reason aside from to be different from it's other family members. It can provide less music than a 12" but more than a 7". It's almost like a budget 12" or a posh 7". Either way it's wierd and it needs sorting out. Maybe it's quirkyness has helped it carry on defying all rules and convention? Importantly though it plays at a multitude of speeds so it is still quintessentially a total bargain (albeit a total freak of a bargain).
