Cheju
Taito- Ku EP

This record left our Mingus Rude feeling happy.
Boltfish By Cheju, how it's pronounced we really don't know. The titles include "A year apart", "Taito-Ku e.p." and "As the leaves turn". With past efforts out on the mighty Static Caravan, Unlabel and Octoberman you could probably lump these works within the genre termed cribtronica: highly melodic bedroom electronica weighed down by screen based beat graphs, ambient passages, spoken word introductions and the kind of atmospherics that wouldn't be out of place on Warp's Artificial Intelligence series of yesteryear. All the e.p.'s are recommended if you want to drift off & relax without being challenged musically or otherwise.

What their label says...
CHEjU explores his trademark oriental style in his 3rd Boltfish ep - inspired by the temples, skyscrapers, zen gardens and amusement arcades of Japan.
