What the label says:New from the ever collectable Fandango label. 'Speak To Me Bones' is LAND OF TALK's debut UK release and is taken from their sublimely titled Canadian mini-album 'Applause Cheer Boo Hiss', released last Fall. A fine melange of pleasingly-struck powerchords and violent riffage it is too, and if the passive / aggressive vocalising of Elizabeth Powell resonates with a depth beyond mere indierock posturing this is no surprise - she has been banging out "Anti-folk basement rock" in one guise or another since she was fourteen years old. |
