What we say
What the label says:‘They straddle the ground between Sonic Youth and Explosions in the Sky’ - The Fly Magazine This debut, Justin Lockey produced (from yourcodenameis:milo) double a-side single release for Derby lads My Psychoanalyst. Already a Ones to Watch with The Fly Magazine, My Psychoanalyst began when three plucky young scamps from the middle of nowhere had a rumbling in their bellies for some pop songs with loads of noise thrown in for good measure. About two years, some broken instruments, a lot of noise, plenty of gigs and a flashy montage to rival that of a Neil Buchannan BIG ART ATTACK later and we're up to speed. The name 'My psychoanalyst' was chosen from an Alan Ginsberg poem called 'Hell.', and in their own words, they sound a bit like ‘Kevin Shields and Thurston Moore throttling Morrissey and Marr’ |
