Barbed - Doubleclick Countryside

Doubleclick Countryside by Barbed

4...according to our on Thu 03 May, 2007.

Here's a CD on the Loaf series from Barbed. Pretty eclectic sounding release with samples from around the world creating quite bizzare and fun tunes. Am listening to track 2 and it sounds a bit comical - like the sound track to the 70's english animation Mr Ben. Almost on cue the music becomes backing for a spoken story by Joram Ten Brink. Track 3 is a spaced out rattling drum beat with sounds entering and leaving like waves. Lots of lovely sounds and vastly different moments. Track 5 and we're in funk mode.Yeh straddling a whole filing cabinet of genres like giant grasshopper. Nice!! in big sexy 12" style packaging or smaller 5" CD style packaging!
