Shesus - Debbie's Shoes

Debbie\'s Shoes by Shesus

3...according to our on Thu 26 Apr, 2007.

The Shesus 'Debbies Shoes' 7" on People In The Sky then...A punky, jerky female fronted thing. Quite raw and messy sounding but retains some funk Not unlike early Yeah Yeah Yeah's perhaps. The Sebastien mix is a dirty stomping new rave track with a hint of cheese and an assymetrical haircut. Lordy.

From out of the blurry haze hovering unsteadily between indie and alternative dance, new London label People In The Sky emerged in October 2006 with the warmly received ‘Photobooth EP‘ from Friendly Fires – the group labelled as “one of the top three indie bands in the UK” by NME, “most exciting bands in 2007” by FACT and as “band to watch in 2007” by Vice. Now PITS follow up Friendly Fires with “Debbies Shoes” by the Michelle Bodine led, Ohio based quartet Shesus - again combining punk / funk tinged A side with a straight up electronic assault on the flip.
